We were at Walmart and as we got into the car I told her to please be good because I was a bit stressed out and she said "Ok Mommy when we get home would you like me to massage your feet for you?" What 3 year old asks that?? Of course she never did it because when I asked her she said she was too busy watching Dora to come do that.
Another thing that isn't so funny but more caring: We try to get Nana B over to our house once every week or so and after we took her home this last time G said "Mom I am sad for Nana B". I asked Why and she said "Because she is alone. I think I am gonna have some tears." I told her the Nana B had her puppy to keep her company and part of the reason we went to get her was to get her out for a bit. When I looked in the mirror again she had tears rolling down her cheeks and said she wanted me to pray for Nana B to not feel sad and alone. We said a quick prayer as tears and sniffle continued. I think she has my heart because I easily crumble inside when I see someone who may be lonely. Nana B is very much loved by little Gentry Sue.
On Sunday I was finishing my bible study for the lesson that afternoon and I decided to ask G about Satan. I asked if she knew who Satan or the Devil was and she said No. So I explained it to her a little bit. Before long she had kind of a disgusted look on her face and said "Well does he eat yucky things for dinner like ants and bugs?" I said "Probably." She then said "Is he mean to Jesus?" And I said "Well in a way because he wants to control us like Jesus does but he would make us bad!" She then got a maddish look and said "Well if he is naughty to Jesus than he is STINK!" (Normally she can't call people "stink" because she gets this extreme sassy tone in her voice and it isn't as innocent as some people may think) She then ensued all kinds of sassy things directed towards the devil, not sure if that's the way to teach her but I think she gets the picture!
On Monday morning, one of our neighbors had to go to the hospital by ambulance because of a massive heart attack. I explained it to Gentry since she heard the sirens. As we drive to school every day, we pray for the day. This particular day G wanted to pray so she started, "Dear Jesus....thank you for the neighbor who went in the ambulance, Not Jeff, Not Vicki, Not Cooper, Not Kori, well Jesus you know who he is, just let him be ok..." (The people listed are all our neighbors to the North and really the only ones she knows, just clarifying it to Jesus:) She also always says "thank you for" no matter what the request:)
This morning there was another cute prayer. Ace has been going through this phase, (phase I hope) where he repeats everything until you answer and acknowledge him. So at meal times lately he says "Gentry Gentry Gentry..." until she answers him. This morning as we sat down for breakfast, she said "Dear Jesus please help Ace to not repeat my name so I don't have to yell "STOP IT ACE". Amen.
What a prayer, honestly she kinda took the words right out of my mouth:/
In Big Ace news, he learned how to say "Hot Dog"! He just blurted it out one day at lunch when G was talking about them and surprised all of us! We kept having him say it and he had a permanent smile on his face after saying it:) Pretty proud of himself, as he should be!

Haha. Love those cute little aichele children shenanigans. Such a sweet spirit that little G has, to pray for the person in the ambulance! Can't wait to see you guys next week. Love you all. Noah says HI! Auntie B
