Funny things by G and other Aichele mishaps...

Since last time I blogged, G has been up to some serious silliness! She says things every day that just make me roll on the ground laughing, not literally but close!
We were at Walmart and as we got into the car I told her to please be good because I was a bit stressed out and she said "Ok Mommy when we get home would you like me to massage your feet for you?" What 3 year old asks that?? Of course she never did it because when I asked her she said she was too busy watching Dora to come do that.
Another thing that isn't so funny but more caring: We try to get Nana B over to our house once every week or so and after we took her home this last time G said "Mom I am sad for Nana B". I asked Why and she said "Because she is alone. I think I am gonna have some tears." I told her the Nana B had her puppy to keep her company and part of the reason we went to get her was to get her out for a bit. When I looked in the mirror again she had tears rolling down her cheeks and said she wanted me to pray for Nana B to not feel sad and alone. We said a quick prayer as tears and sniffle continued. I think she has my heart because I easily crumble inside when I see someone who may be lonely. Nana B is very much loved by little Gentry Sue.
On Sunday I was finishing my bible study for the lesson that afternoon and I decided to ask G about Satan. I asked if she knew who Satan or the Devil was and she said No. So I explained it to her a little bit. Before long she had kind of a disgusted look on her face and said "Well does he eat yucky things for dinner like ants and bugs?" I said "Probably." She then said "Is he mean to Jesus?" And I said "Well in a way because he wants to control us like Jesus does but he would make us bad!" She then got a maddish look and said "Well if he is naughty to Jesus than he is STINK!" (Normally she can't call people "stink" because she gets this extreme sassy tone in her voice and it isn't as innocent as some people may think) She then ensued all kinds of sassy things directed towards the devil, not sure if that's the way to teach her but I think she gets the picture!
On Monday morning, one of our neighbors had to go to the hospital by ambulance because of a massive heart attack. I explained it to Gentry since she heard the sirens. As we drive to school every day, we pray for the day. This particular day G wanted to pray so she started, "Dear Jesus....thank you for the neighbor who went in the ambulance, Not Jeff, Not Vicki, Not Cooper, Not Kori, well Jesus you know who he is, just let him be ok..." (The people listed are all our neighbors to the North and really the only ones she knows, just clarifying it to Jesus:) She also always says "thank you for" no matter what the request:)
This morning there was another cute prayer. Ace has been going through this phase, (phase I hope) where he repeats everything until you answer and acknowledge him. So at meal times lately he says "Gentry Gentry Gentry..." until she answers him. This morning as we sat down for breakfast, she said "Dear Jesus please help Ace to not repeat my name so I don't have to yell "STOP IT ACE". Amen.
What a prayer, honestly she kinda took the words right out of my mouth:/
In Big Ace news, he learned how to say "Hot Dog"! He just blurted it out one day at lunch when G was talking about them and surprised all of us! We kept having him say it and he had a permanent smile on his face after saying it:) Pretty proud of himself, as he should be!

Birthdays, Birthdays, Birthdays!

Once again I am making this a bi-weekly update. It just seems so quick, those 2 weeks! This past week we went out to dinner with some of our friends, Brian and Kendra, as well as Brian's sister, Amanda and her family. Over the past year I have gotten to know Amanda better and I really like her. She is simple, which I love, and we always have something to talk about, which is essential for me:) G also loves her little girl Kaydee. We went to Salina to Daimarus and had sushi and hibachi. On the way home we were in a tornado watch! Luke of course wanted to hurry and get home so we wouldn't get hail damage on the new van we recently got! So lets race the tornado...we won too!
A couple of evenings later we went back to the same place to celebrate Austin's birthday. I love sushi and glad that Luke finally gave it a try and now loves it too. G is crazy over edamame, so she always noshes on that when we go. Ace on the other hand is still going through a weird phase where he doesn't like much else besides bars and fruit. Frustrating when G is a lover of all foods, except green pepper. So we try new things with him and try to not let it get to us when he throws a massive fit over it. When I say "massive" I am being literal.
Speaking of little Ace K, he has taken a few beatings this past week. Not really but he looks like it! He was running with a plastic popcorn container at Nana and Papa's and fell on the squared, scalloped corner and cut his nose and around his eye. Then the next day I couldn't find him anywhere and I opened the bathroom door and needless to say, I found him and left him with a bruise on his cheek since he was standing right behind the door. Poor little man.
G has been her same ol' crazy self with off the wall comments coming left and right. She woke up from her nap one day and I asked her how the nap was and she replied "It was good, but I didn't even close my eyes Mom!" She looked kind of worried about it too! I laughed and said "How did you sleep and not close your eyes? I saw you sleeping." She just shrugged it off, but was completely serious about it!         Then one day as her and Ace were playing she came into the bedroom and said to me, "Here is my assistant." I said "Ace? He is your brother." She told me,"No he is my assistant and he is NOT listening to me!" Wow little diva on our hands. Now she knows how I feel when she doesn't listen to me:)
Another exciting thing for us, as I mentioned earlier we got a new to us van. We got another Honda Odyssey. This one is 5 years newer, silver and has a DVD player. G loves that about it! We also sold the other just today, phew!
What happens when she gets my phone

Pt 2

Pt 3....I do love that freckle on her nose♥

Ace's battle wounds

Another shot...he loves to pretend he is brushing his teeth and spitting out the toothpaste:)

Flip Flop kind of day! Love those little toes:) (Not my ugly bunion foot!)

Olive hands! I told her I used to do this when I was little so she wanted to do it, naturally, and take a picture:)
