Words of inspiration by G

So there is a song by Selena Gomez she sings "Who says who says you're not perfect...." and G has decided to sing it like this: "Who says who says I am not pretty, sometimes I shake my booty!" Totally fits the lil booty dancing queen!
Doing the infamous booty dance. How I hope she never does this during a church program. :/

Softball, haircuts and popsicles

On Sunday afternoon, we caved and got G started on the Rx as well. Her cough was getting too chesty and started having a low fever. Oh how I despise sickness. So Monday came with coughing and whining babies, not the best way to start a Monday. We spent the day with our normal routine and stopped by for a quick haircut for the little guy. He did wonderful as usual. He went in a baby and left a grown lil fella. (A tear was nearly shed by me)  Gentry ate her "hopskotch" sucker while Ace got the cut.We went over to Nana's for lunch and to check on Nana B since she had the 2nd eye surgery that morning. After naps we went back to fly the kite since it was very windy that day. G took a nice tumble (like mother like daughter) trying to run with the kite so it was a short kite adventure.  That evening Luke had his last softball game so we picked up Destiny and headed to the game. Luke caught two balls in a row, making 2 outs for the other team! He did great. They still lost (have only won like 3 games this season:/) but he went out with a bang! We came home and celebrated with our favorite, Chocolate Cinnamon cupcakes with Spiced Buttercream...Mmmmmmm!
Decided that eating popsicles in the tub is way less messy!
Had some pretty reddish/greenish water when we were done!

Destiny's new haircut!
Everytime she comes over she has something new...the tooth gone, the new cut, whats next??:)

Whoa who is #13? Hmmm I am one lucky lady

On Tuesday we started a normal day. After the Y we came home and laid Ace down for his nap. G and I went outside and did some "work". She collected rocks and I painted a wooden seat for the porch. I painted it a rusty red colour! Looks great against the brick on the house. It was the last day that wasnt going to be disgustingly hot out, so we decided to eat lunch al fresco!  That evening we went by and got Destiny, Amelia and Dave to go the water fountains downtown, only to discover they werent on. So since we were all loaded up, we decided there was no other choice but to hit up DQ! We sat outside and enjoyed ice cream, it was a nice summer evening.
Eating outside!

Cutie patootie!
Today we have gone to the Y, the library and Nanas for lunch. G and I made Cinnamon Roasted chickpeas and they are a step ABOVE amazing! They definently wont last long around here, so I see another double batch in the very near future!
Cinnamon Roasted Chickpeas! So good and healthy

Last day of swim lessons and feeling under the weather

Friday was a very busy day for us! We started the day by dropping off Ace at Nana's house while G and I went to the Y for a farewell party for Shari, one of the toddler time helpers. She is moving to KC because her husband got a job there. Ace wasnt feeling well again so we dropped him off with Nana. We picked up Ace and got ready for G's final swimming lesson. Nana and Auntie Maci joined us at the Mason's for the lesson so they could cheer G on! She did so wonderful but she was very worn out after 5 days of swimming! We celebrated by meeting Daddy, Gordon and Gloria  at McD's and she got to play for 40 minutes BEFORE we ate (not a common thing for us..I am learning to let the small things slide:) and then eat her favorite, Cheese Hamburg, apples and chocolate milk. Aww the joys of childhood:) After naps we went to the Dr. and found out Ace had the start of a sinus infection...boo! G was on the verge of it as well so we got Rx for both kiddos. Hopefully we can kick it soon!

Poor fella. You can tell he doesnt feel well:(

Kicking with the dolphin!

:) What a ornery little gal!

Cooling down eating popsicles

Enjoying his lemonade popsicle. He was a sticky mess after!
On Saturday we started the day going on a walk with Dawn and Kadence. It was sprinkling when we started and by the time we got back we were all sweating! It was so humid. Then we went to the library and spent time reading new books and playing in the child area. G is participating in the summer reading program, Reading around the World, and she reached her 1st goal, so she got to do the grab bag and got another rubber duck for the tub! We have a family of rubber ducks. We spent the evening at the Martin's. We BBQ'd and played all evening!
Our 4 ft puzzle we did from the library!

Today we have gone for our weekly shopping trip to Walmart and had Maci join us! Gentry has been very good lately so she picked out a bubble toy there and she played with it while we watered the plants outside. The rest of the day shall (we hope!) be pretty chill! Whew what a crazy last few days!

Teething....One can only hope:/

On Wednesday we did our normal routine, the Y, naptime for Ace and then swimming lessons for Gentry. She is doing so wonderful! I really am impressed and surprised because 2 weeks earlier Luke and I took the beans to the pool and she cried because she didnt want to get in! She has definently improved just within those 3 days! Today she played with the dolphin floaty and loved it! She could lay on it and kicked amazing! Then she crawled the wall "like a monkey swing" (Thats what she always says!) She went down to the deep end and checked out the bug trapper and thought it was so cool. Ace stayed with Nana because he wasnt feeling well. I am hoping it is just more teeth but if  he isnt better by tomorrow I will bring him into the Dr. since we are coming up on a weekend. We spent the day with Destiny until her mom came to pick her up. Harmony took HeavynLei to the the Dr and she is up to 8lbs and 22 inches! Tiny little chickpea:)
Floating on the dolphin!

Gorgeous baby

Her favorite part of the whole lesson, the watering can!

Today we decided to stay home from the Y since Ace wasnt feeling well again. He had a fever and runny nose so we hung out at the casa this morning. It was nice to sleep in until 8:30ish. We were lazy and watched a movie and ate breakfast in the family room. We rarely eat with the tv on, let alone in front of it! Gentry got very excited when I told her she could watch Tinkerbell while eating! She said "Really Mommy? Ok!" and smiled super big:) We dropped Ace off at Nana's again for swimming lessons. Today they played "Gentry the Explorer"! They went to bug cave (climbed the wall), swampy waters (practice swimming motions) and Ice Cream Tower! (practice the hand movement in swimming.) She did super again! Tomorrow is her last lesson so we got Angie and Danica a gift certificate to the movie theater.Gentry thinks that all four of us are going to the movie:/ G also made Angie a card. The rest of the day was a normal nap, go to Nanas, come home, do dinner and play till bed kind of day!

Swimming lessons and Monday night softball!

Yesterday Gentry started swimming lessons with Angie, Danica's mom. She was very excited but also nervous. She asked me to pray for her before the lessons, so we did as we drove to their home. She got right into the water and did fabulous! They practiced blowing bubbles in the water, kicking her legs, climbing the wall, holding her breath and entering and exiting on the ladder. That afternoon she took a 3.5 hour nap! She was one worn out fishy:) That evening we got Destiny and headed to Luke's softball double header! He won the first game and lost the second.

Practicing her kicks!

Jumping off the wall and trying to hold her breath!

Ace chillin like a villian

On Tuesday we went to the Y and then came home for a quick nap for Ace and then off to the 2nd day of swim lessons. Today she was pretty excited but told me "No slide mommy!" She is a little weary of any slide, as she fell off the slide at her 2nd birthday. "Fall slide mommy" was the phrase of that day, week and month! Today they pretended she was celebrating her 3rd birthday in the pool. They practiced blowing out the candles in the water, scooping the ice cream with each hand (swimming motion), jumping in the jump stations and the most exciting part, opening gifts! (Splashing her face to get used to the water in her face.)
Ready for round 2!

Watching Danica show her how to go under while holding her breath

Learning how to float

Practicing her kicks again!

Tonight we are having our neighbors, The Courtney's, over for dinner as well as Dave, the homeless guy Luke has befriended. Destiny will also be coming back to join us for another slumber party!!
Here is a few pictures of our new furniture we are totally loving!

Happy Father's Day!

First off, I want to start by wishing Luke a Happy Father's Day! He is such a wonderful daddy to Gentry and Ace! They are very blessed little babies. Also to my daddy, love you!
Daddy with his precious babies of Fathers Day!
The past 2 days we have been so busy with the garage sale. Thankfully it is all done and over! I made a whopping $44.25! Totally not worth all the work we put into it! But it was a good time with Whit and Mom watching, and talking, about all the wonderful characters..I mean customers :) that came to the sale.
On Friday evening we had some very wonky weather. We had a tornado warning with the sirens and everything. I was cleaning the kitchen while Gentry was watching a movie. Luke was talking with the next door neighbors and Ace was in bed. I heard the sirens but didnt think much of it until Luke came busting through the front door and grabbed Ace and said we needed to head downstairs. So we went down and turned on the tv for the weather. Ace was clapping his hands and just so excited to be out of bed! Since we knew we would be down there for a while we got out G's "special box". ( Contains favorite clothing pieces, drawings and a bunch of her baby things) She picked up her 1st Christmas dress and declared " Awww mommy I was so cute in this"! We had fun looking at all her things , but it was kind of sad to see how much she has grown. Thankfully the storm blew over with minimal damaging.
Today we spent the day at church and then lunch at Papa and Nana's. We did a BBQ with Tracy, Shelly, Nana B and Grandpa Arvin. It was a great way to spend Fathers Day!
Our landscaping we finished!

So glad to be back with cloth diapers, thanks to Auntie B!

Love x 4!

Garage sale time!

Since this is more of a journal entry type thing for us than a blog I know when I read this in 23 years, I am gonna wonder "Did Gentry get her blue blanket back that night?" The answer is a big fat simple NO! She decided to bop her little brother on the head with a plastic mircophone, so we had to take it, as well as her whole entourage away. She assured me that night, as I tucked her in, that the Dora bedspread would work to suck on and "You can just wash it later." Thanks Gentry for clarifying. So our genius idea to take away the blue blanket was a epic fail! Onto happier things...Tuesday evening Destiny came over and she was running in from her car with the biggest smile EVER! She smiled so big after she burst in the front door and there was a gap in her smile, she lost her first tooth! She was beyond proud:) That evening all her and G talked about was their teeth and the tooth fairy! G kept asking me to wiggle her tooth because it too was loose! Crazy girl. The next morning Destiny came into the living room smiling, again, and carrying $3! What a happy little girl:)
BFF's eating their popsicles!

Proud little Destiny

G had to do a picture like this too:)

Her money from the tooth fairy!

That morning we went the Y and then we spent all day at moms getting ready for the garage sale. Destiny, Gentry and Chloe played outside as we got eveyrthing unpacked and laid out. (Ace came out after his nap and whined like a puppy till I got him out of his seat...beggar:) It was fun to see all of my old toys as a child and it is crazy how something can hold so many memories. I found my favorite cabbage patch, Nadine, and my favorite little bear! We found some of Briana's toys that I remember her playing with and lots of Barbies. Man do those bring back the memories! (Making pools out of tupperware and putting the barbies in them in the basement:)  But the best was a letter to Mom that said "Cookie Sheets Cookie Sheets just for you, make us some cookies and we dont mean a few!!!" After lunch Luke took the beans home and we continued until 5 O'clock that evening. Exhausting!

Playing in the tub at Nana's. They were 2 dirty little rascals after "helping" with the garage sale!
Here is Nadine and bear that we found!
Today we have done our usual morning routine which included getting Destiny again while her mom worked! Then we picked up Luke's Fathers Day gift!! So excited to show him. Then going back to moms to price everything. Next Garage sale....NEVER!! They are so time consuming. The highlight of the evening tonight was Ace stood on his own for, wait for it...3 seconds! That is a long time when he has never stood alone! He got so excited we kept trying to do it again but he just laughed the whole time. I love my little blonde haired, blue eyed, 4 toothed monster:)
Tomorrow we get our new furniture! I am so excited for a fresh update to our house and to also change the ambiance of the room. Pictures to come!

The joys of motherhood:)...er :/

Wow what a day already and it is only 1:45 (Nap Time!!!) Today we started out with our normal routine, getting up, breakfast and heading off to the Y. After I get done working out I find out Gentry had a little problem with a girl and decides to yank the 'ol ponytail! What else would she do?? Walk away perhaps:) So since this was not the first, not the second but just the third time, I decided to pull daddy into the equation. We talked and dicussed how to act and her punishment was so mean..take away the "Boo Banktee" (Blue blanket) for one nap! Complete torture!!! I plan to call the mother and personally apologize, hope she takes it nicely:) Then it is 9 month (even though he is 10 months) picture time. Ace sooo wasnt having it! He screamed and cried everytime I sat him down, so before all the editing you will see my hands holding onto him somehow. He is a momma's boy, and secretly I love when he only wants me:) (muah, ha ha ha:) Tonight Destiny is coming over for a slumber party so we should have lots of fun, well they will while I enjoy my hour of bliss....my massage by Malerie!
Replacing the Boo Banktee with Stitch's ear. What a faithful friend.
You can also see her whole entourage that sleeps with her:)

After picture time. What a tired lil fella. I felt this way too!

Welcome to the world of the Aichele Monsters!

Hello! We are publishing a blog to show the exciting and crazy things we experience as the parents of G and Ace K! Since the first of June we have been quite busy! We have hosted Destiny's 6th birthday at our home, had a picnic at the park with Nana and Maci (Ace ate the bread instead of feeding the ducks!) and saw Chicken Little at the Opera House, as well as our daily activites which include Toddler playtime at the Y, the library story times, playing Basketball with Daddy(Got a new b-ball goal FINALLY!) and heading to Nana's after naps! (My favorite part of the day!:)
