Zoo, Maci, Birthday Party's and more fun

This past weekend has been so busy, hence my last post! On Friday was Chloe's 2nd birthday and she wanted to go to the Zoo. We went to Rolling Hills, just west of Salina. It was very nice because it was so quiet! I am sure mainly because school has started and all but there were only like 5 other people there! It was VERY hot out! Thankfully they had the water misters out. Ace and Auntie Itty went through every single one of them! That was the only time he would crack a smile, otherwise it was a grumpy look painted on his sweet little face. They also had a museum attached that has different animal scenes and artificial people from each region, like Africa or Asia. G's favorite area was the Reptiles to see the snakes! She is obsessed with them, I think only because she knows Luke and I dislike them so much! Little adgitator! That evening Luke and I went to Wichita for Tiffany's salon opening and dinner. She opened the salon in Wichita and I am so proud of her! It is very urban and comfy at the same time! She had a great turn-out too! We ate dinner at Red Rock. It was delish! We shared a Shrimp appetizer, he got the steak with potatoes and mushrooms in a red wine sauce, (Amazing) and I had the Asian salad made with rotisserie chicken with a peanut dressing, also amazing! We will surely go back. We hit up Starbucks on our way home. Luke got the Captain Crunch frap, something we read about earlier this week on the web and I got my usual, Decaf Skinny Hazelnut. Perfect ending to a perfect day♥
Saturday morning it was a cool morning so we took advantage of it. We walked down to the Kettle Creek Coffeehouse. They have a small breakfast menu so we had a mini breakfast and coffee there. We got Breakfast Casserole muffins, cinnamon rolls, a pomegrante-blueberry smoothie and a Skinny hazelnut latte. Can you guess who was whose? :) Luke said he thinks we should make this a Saturday morning ritual, I agree. We spent the day being LAZY, which was nice. We got an unexpected call that Nana had to be taken to the ER because of her illness. After she got some good meds pumped in via IV, G and I went over to visit and see if there was anything she needed. Her one request, Rest! Poor Nana:( Thankfully she is feeling alot better now. G and I made homeade Cinnamon Raisin Bread that I saw on Giada. It turned out pretty good. The center caved in a bit but it was very chewy and had the perfect amount of cinnamon! Will for sure make it again! That evening we went to Chloe's birthday party. They had a tractor pinata, farm birthday cake (That Whit did an awesome job on!) and of course lots of gifts:) Chloe is such a crazy lil farm gal!
Sunday we went to Medora for Destiny and HevynLei's dedication. After we left there we went to Hutch. Nana and Papa also had to go to Home Depot to buy a front door so G, Ace K and I tagged along while Luke visited his friend . After that we went to lunch at Freddy's and headed home for naps. That afternoon, Luke and Jeff put in our new front door. It makes the front of the house look very updated. I ♥ it. Simple things make this gal pretty happy! We had Jeff and his family, as well as Dave over for a spaghetti dinner. It was delish, especially with the fresh basil! After dinner we had brownie sundaes, def. made out like happy fat cats:)
Monday we had our friends Meggan, Grayson and Kenna over for a playdate. We had a normal afternoon, naps then to Nanas, and then I had a meeting for my sorority. Luke took the beans on a walk and to the local church playground! G couldnt stop talking about it when I got home! Simple things also make that little lady happy:)

  1. You could mistake that picture of G and Chlo for being sisters... It's probably the smile! The Zoo sounds fun. Glad G got her snake fix. Miss those little monkeys. You too. love auntie B
